I had a pervious post about headers for a 67 Chevelle big block and the Hooker headers were not even close. I used Headman headers pt# 68196 and they fit like a glove, no grinding or hammering needed. Not to say anything about Hooker, maybe the pipes were marked with the wrong pt# or were bent wrong but most anyone rebuilding a motor will replace 30 year old stock bolts with ARP bolts and the flange on Hooker headers hit the ARP bolts. Hooker Wake Up.

Do you think that the 1 3/4" primaries of the 68196 headers is sufficient for these 500+ HP motors?
