it looks clean, it has about 75,000 miles on a 350 engine which is all chromed out. no heater or a/c. needs a tune up and new brake lines.

My opinion is that is too high for a baseline 71 Chevelle. The chrome stuff under the hood should not influence you to buy it. All that stuff could be added later if you like chrome.

Sorry, should have included this in prior post: the guy selling it bought it to restore. His wife is making him sell it *whip cracks*. He put in a new carberator and some chrome work. and some new hoses and such. Besides needing the tune up it runs fine. Is it probably because of the chrome work that he's asking 6?

For a non-restored car, Nah
My opinion isn't worth much. Here is what is being offered around here today. Cut a few examples out and removed numbers and phone numbers because I don't know if I can post them. Anybody wants to look, the site is www.recycler.com. (http://www.recycler.com.) Search word Chevelle. Somebody is selling a 68-72 deck lid. ProfessorSS you out there?

If you were looking where I pointed, a lot of those cars claim to be restored. Big difference in price. Even 8-10 is high for a fixed up Plain Jane 71. Just my opinion.

Well I just sold my 71 malibu for five thousand. It needed bodywork, and an engine rebuild.
