any ideas on how to revive old wires that are stiff and could possible break? I want to reuse this old engine harness but it has lost most of its flexibility

If someone has something I'd like to hear. Off hand the best I've seen is once thermo plastics get hard and brittle, they are history.

They are not only history but very dangerous. Do yourself a favor, if they are brittle, replace with a used harness at the very least. Every restoration I do gets a new engine harness regardless, all the other harnesses get rebuilt. Once the wires get brittle, they will crack and can lead to a short.
