I am starting to get the "puff of smoke" on my daily driver. 1988 350 TBI in a big ol suburban. I get it after the truck sits for about 2 hours. If I start it within the hour, there is not smoke. I know that eventually I need to replace the seals (I'll do that this winter), but is there anything I can add to the oil to make this problem less noticeable? For now, I just live with the puff of smoke and check the oil at every fill up.
It's not really useing any oil, but the puff of smoke is getting annoying. Any words of wisdom?
