I'm currently pulling the dash out of my SS and want to re-work it so it looks like new. I haven't been able to find a "new" replacement anywhere, I guess I'm stuck stripping and painting the one I have. (it is actually in pretty good shape) Does any one know what the the true colors are (ie. flat/gloss black, trim around instruments silver or white). A closeup pic would be extremely helpful at this point.
FYI, while I'm at it, the new Vintage Air system will be installed at the same time. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif

I've been talking to a man named Jim whos business is restoring dashes, rechroming painting and repairs prices sound kind of spendy though his # 302-266 7767. when restoring my Olds 442 I used a satin black spray can with excellent results. the trim around the gauges is actually a chroming process. But I've used a Testors model paint that comes in a paint pen to retouch areas and it looks ok just not as shiny
