Easy question for you guys. Just installed a new regulator and I noticed a post off to one side of the connector terminals. Is this for a ground or should I ignore it and ground to one of the mounting holes? The instructions do not mention this post.

I have a post on the back side of my regulator which is connected to the radiator support for ground. It also has what appears to be a in-line capacitor. I don't think it is a cap., just looks line one. :(

Can't see what you are looking at. However, is sounds like the tab where the filter capacitor attaches to. If it is not part of the rear back plate, I won't ground it.

AhHah...So it IS a capacitor. Thanks John.
