I'm in the process of redoing the engine compartment on my 68 300 Sport Coupe. On a 327, how many of the braided style ground straps should I have? I only have 1 on the firewall, going to the manifold. I think my other 68 had at least 3 of these.

Thanks!

There should be at least (3) braided ground straps between the engine and the firewall. I can't remember the exact locations(an assembly manual would be helpful here).

On my '70, (2) slip under the nuts that hold down the valve covers closest to the firewall. #3??? Not sure.

My all original '68 had 3. One from each lower rearmost valve cover bolt to the firewall, and one connecting the frame and inner fender even with the rear edge of the battery tray and bolted thru the fenderwell at it lowest lip. If the car had an FM radio, there was to be a 4th strap, i do not know of its proper location.

Thanks for all the help. I'd forgotten about the ones on the valve covers. I'll order the new set now!
