I'm trying to remove a 68 wiper switch, and can't seem to understand how it comes off! The service manual said remove set screw from knob, then remove knob from shaft, (my knob just pulled off!), then remove retaining nut, and withdraw wiper switch from behind console. I've got the dash removed, and on a bench, so access is no problem, but I cannot find the retaining nut that the manual talks about! Anyone help? -thanx, Al

The retaining nut is behind the switch bezel. I think that a 1/2 deepwell socket works to remove the nut. I hope this helps.
