I have a 68 with the clock out for testing and replacing the adj. pin. It wasnt working and I found one of the wound wires broke and resoldered it. now when I apply 12v to the back spade and ground the body it makes a sound as if a contact was opened but nothing is moving. should something move? thanks

Sorry I guess no one can rebuild a clock. A lot of guys just get a newer quartz movement or send them out for rebuild.

Depending on who made the movement, Borg-Warner or Westclox. I think it's the BW's that have a "flyback" lever. When it ticks down to where the contacts close, the electromagnets energize, and this weighted lever "flys back" up, winding the spring for another minute's worth of ticking.
A lot of times the contacts get burnt from the severe arcing over 30 years. You can manually (gently) move this lever up, and the clock should start ticking again.

Here's one source to buy a clock and another to update your existing clock. There are places that have a kit. Shop around. Quality and price can vary. http://www.true-connections.com/cat/page36.htm http://www.autoinstruments.com/
