I just finished installing the "custom" tail/stop LED modules I designed for my '64! I wanted to improve the dismal rear lighting, and I'm just a tinkerer by nature. Take a Look!

Did something  here. I replaced the standard 1156 "Backup" bulb with an off the shelf Red 1156 LED replacement module, and rewired the socket to the brake/turn circuit. To retain my backup lights I made another custom board (with white LED's and a hole in it for the stop/turn "bulb" to shine through)

These were taken in full daylight, and the camera doesn't do justice to just how flippin' bright these things are!

Switch over to an electronic flasher can?

I'm still running bulbs in the dash indicators and the fronts, so there's enough load to trip the standard flasher. Next project is to do the front lights, so I'm sure I'll have to swap flashers then! ;)

Guess I should have paid more attention in circuits class ;)
