I have a 1965 El Camino with a 283 that has been upgraded from points to EHI distributor with a single wire to alternator and at this time it is not charging the battery. I can run lights and it will not run down the battery. This is enough charge to the battery to start once but will not start again without charging the battery or jump starting. What I am looking for is a wiring diagram for this job, I would like to change all the wires so it is new.

Not really sure of your question. If you just need a diagram look here, but the manual is a better buy. http://www.true-connections.com/cat/page80.htm
The diagram won't show the HEI set-up. That's an add-on.

Sounds like a bad battery. Check voltage when running for >13.6V at 1000rpm with no load.
