I just picked up a factory tach for 64 Chevelle and there are no wiring instructions. The tach has 3 conections + / - / S. Can anyone tell me what the proper hook up should be?
Thanks, Willie

Don't have one to double check this information but sounds like:
(+) is 12 volts
(-) is ground
(S) is signal which goes to coil (-)

Actually, you only use two of those terminals. The two to be used should have red plastic cups under the nut. Looking at it from the back side that would be the top center terminal and the right lower terminal. The top-most nut will hold the wire that is routed to the (-) side of the coil and the other lead will be routed to a fused recepticle in the fuse box for a full 12 volts. Plug it into the fuse panel recepticle marked "brake alarm"
