I'm wondering if there are any differences between the SS and regular instrument/gauge clusters on a '69 Chevelle? I've been looking around and I haven't really seen any differences besides the rare integrated tach in the idiot light pod. Are the regular SS gauge clusters the same as the Malibu's?

History: I'm looking at buying a '69 Chevelle Malibu and I want to make an SS clone. I have seen alot of SS repro parts out there but I haven't seen much for '69 gauges... of any kind.

I don't think there is any difference between a 69 SS dash and a Malibu dash. The tach was an option and could have been ordered on a Malibu as well, I'm not 100% about that but you never know.

I know there is no difference in the 69 Malibu and SS dashes.
wheather a tach and gauge cluster was available on a Malibu or not in 69, I don't know.
Someone is reproducing a pretty nice 69 tach and gauge cluster now I hear.
