when my car is running at nite the dash lights flutter.they keep on dimming low then high.it is a steady blink like. they do not completely go out but dim low than high.

What kind of car?
Bad voltage regulator can cause what you describe.

The car with the flutter is a 69 Chevelle SS.The whole light system will do it.You get out and look at the marker lights or tail lights, and they are doing it.Thanks

Bad regulalator! Do yourself a favor and install an internally regulated Delco, then you can eliminate the regulator and all of that wiring. 2 wires (1 from battery, second one is 12 volts from ignition source) and your set to go.
