Does anyone know what it takes to park a late model wiper motor? They don't seem to work internally.

What year? Chevrolet/GM?

I believe the motor is a 1989. I installed in my 1964 Chevy II.

I went to the local library today. In the reference section I found Mitchell electrical repair manuals. Lots of good info on wipre motors. The years 89 to 95 were missing. The full/mid size wiper motor functions are pretty much the same through 88. The switch grounds to run the motor. Motor needs to be grounded for park. Some round motors are depressed park some are not. I would think you want the latter.

Are you trying to adapt a pulse motor?

I am not sure if it was pulse or not. I should have looked at the switch when I removed the motor. I can always go back and get another if need be. Right now the blades stop immediatly when you turn off the switch.

I too am curious about this one, as I am trying to adapt a 97 Tahoe wiper motor to Sherri's 59 Biscayne. I finally found the two wires to hook 12 v to, and the motor turns, but it stops immediately when I disconnect the power. I suppose having the OE switch may be the key to getting it to return to park.
