What's the diff between the Batt, Acc, and Ign lugs on the fuse panel. I'm wiring a new voltmeter (Yeah, I took everyones advice). Which would be the best lug.
I also have to juggle my tach hookup-it needs to be at acc. And my stereo-which also needs to be at acc or a switched line.
Your opinions on which would be the best hook-ups?!?! Thanks!

2 are easy.
BAT means it has power all the time. ACC - has power when switch is in ACC or RUN position. IGN - I'm not sure. At least in start position and probably in RUN position also. The best to connect your Voltmeter is the ACC lug.
Tach power at ACC too.
STEREO - if its only a basic radio, it can plug into the stock wire harness. If it is a hi power sub or includes an amp, I'd go thru a relay with the relay being actuated by the ACC lug.

IGN is hot only in the RUN position, and not during ACC.

Only hook the items you NEED to have power when the engine is off and the key is on "acc" to the fuse box fused acc conn.(Like a radio) Otherwise you may add unnecessary additional(and quicker)battery drain.I hook my gauges incl the tach to ign fused.
