This morning I went to start my 67 Chevelle, and the starter kept turning over when I released the key. I turned key all the way to off position and it kept going. Is this in the switch or starter?
Thanks, Steve

If this is an automatic easiest place to check things out is the neutral safety switch. The switch is located on the lower top of the sterring column. Under the dash near the brake pedal. Sort of horse shoe shaped.
Look for a connector with 2 purple wires in it. One of the purples comes from the ignition switch. The other goes to the starter. Unplug this connector. With a meter measure the ignition purple to ground. Turn the key to start-off-start-off. The voltage should go 12 volts-0 volts-12 volts - 0 volts. Sort of an easy way to check out the ignition switch.

Might be that the starter solenoid is sticking. This would be more mechanical than electrical in nature.
