My truck has been barely starting the last couple of days. I took it to the local auto zone for a bat/alternator check. The bat was fine (putting out 12+ volts, but the alt was reading 20 amps @2000 rpm. I changed out the alt, and put the bat on the charger. When I started it up same thing. It will start but just doesn't seem right. Any ideas?

Does it do the same hot or cold?

An almost shot battery will show 12 volts,but not the amperage to turn it over good.

When ya charge it does charger say it is charged?

Or borrow another bat. and see.If same I'd say the starter has a bind to it.
