I bought a 69ChevelleSS and low and behold there were no backup lights. It seems as though there is no wiring to be found for them. Aren't all vehicles from that time required to have them?

Just don't know if I need to replace the rear wiring harness...

Do you have an auto or man trans and column or floor shift?

Not sure why the rear back-up lights are missing. The only information I have shows that all Chevelles for that year use the same rear lamp harness.

Thats what I've been seeing on all the wiring books. I never thought to look to see if they were missing when I bought it. You'd think that stuff would be there, even though I looked in the trunk.

My expectation is I think I just better plan or putting the wiring inplace for them. Thanks.
