While attempting to remove my a/c heater control, from the dash, I "broke off the lighting provisions for this control. ( I'm left with a socket with no bulb at the end of a gray wire, and on the heater control, the bulb is still inside, but you cannot get it to pull out, due to a constriction in the hole, metal face, guessing this used to be part of the socket?) Any ideas on how to get the light for this up and running again??It is a 68 control Thanx-Al (new to this, but not new to Chevelles)

If its the same one I had problems with, I just pulled the dash pad off and there it was.

Thanks for the reply, blaster, I got it figured out.... Iused two thin nails to remove the metal part of the socket from the control bulb hole, then figured out that this must have been attached to my wiring as one piece, put it back in place, and got the bulb to stay in, and tested it..the bulb still works. I guess in essence this has been a discovery about how rotten a 34 year old wiring harness can get!
