Hey guys, I have a 68 chevelle, its got a hurst quater stick shifter and i found part of a harness underneath the carpet, its the prevoius center consol wiring i think, The back up lights dont' work, i did find two thick guage wires that went up to the shifter, but at the top of the carper under the dash they are cut, i can't find any wires that it belongs to, any ideas as to were i can tie these bad boys in so my back up lights work??

On an automatic car there's a curved shaped switch on top of the steering column. It's under the dash near the firewall. The is the Neutral Safety Switch. It would have 2 connectors on it. One connector has 2 purple wires in it. The other connector has a pink wire and a light green wire. It's the connector with the pink and green you are looking for. This is the back-up light wiring. Up there around the column somewhere.
