I'm just about finished with my interior and I took the dash apart and rebuilt it, along with replacing a few bulbs.well, I hooked the battery up and checked everything in the dash. the highbeam bulb (which was blown before) was replaced and stays on. the front cap is off the car so I dont know if the high beams are working. could the headlights not being hooked up cause this or could I have a bad dimmer switch? thanks in advance

Normally the problem is caused by a bad ground to one of the low beam lights. That's where the high and low beam lamp filaments are tied together. You have the whole front clip off the car? Missing all the headlights? Are both harnesses unplugged? If the harnesses are plugged in you can measure the wires in the low beam connector. See if the 12 volts switches between the tan and green wire as you switch the dimmer switch.

Mine was doing that and it was the dimmer switch.
