Recieved my powered subwoofer today. It is fused with a 20A fuse, but booklet says max current draw is 12 Amps.

I already have a 4 channel amp rated at 40 Amp max current draw. I have the amp direct wired to my battery with fused 10 ga wire.

Can I connect the sub power lead to the amp power connection? Piggyback them. How much current can I pull thru a 10ga wire? Should I run another dedicated power wire to the battery?

The #10 wire of the dedicated amplifier circuit can easily handle the additional l2 amp load. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it for the subwoofer.
