Isn't that the wire from the neutral safety switch?

Is this a manual or auto car? Column or floor?

Either way I believe it's the neutral safety switch, check to see if it's ;) loose.

The PPL wire comes out the interior side of the firwall as 14 PPL / DBL W (Purple / Dark Blue & White).

This wire goes to the ignition and has power when the key is turned to start.

D.G. you are right for an M35 car there is a neutral saftey switch. There is no NSF for a 66 manual transmission.

For an M35 car there is a 14 PPL wire that goes to the NSF and a 14 PPL / DBL &W wire that comes back from the NSF and continues to the fire wall junction box.

Lee did you do an tranny swap from a M35 to a manual transmission?
