I am in the process of converting my 1970 Chevelle idiot light dash to an SS dash with gauges. I am replacing the whole shebang, new dash, dash harness, forward harness, engine harness, printed circuit board, speedometer, tachometer, clock, and gauges. You should have seen the look on my son’s face when I asked him to give me a hand this weekend spending his inheritance, PRICELESS.

I have all the parts rounded up except I can’t locate the proper oil pressure and water temperature sending units for a 1970 Chevelle with a BB-402 and gauges.

Can anyone tell me where I can pick up the proper sending units?

Your local GM parts counter should have the temp sender, however these (http://www.lectriclimited.com/) guys claim to have accurate sending units. you will need temp sender # 01513321. There's not a oil pressure gauge on the 70 -72 Chevelle gauge cluster, just an indicating "idiot" light that uses the same oil pressure switch as the sweep dash.
