I have a friend that has one of those 3 wire altenators going on a 67 Nova. There is the Red wire, tan, and black. I need to know where the tan and black ones are to connect to. I am pretty sure that the tan one goes to the generator light, and the black to a hot circuit with ignition, but want to make sure.

I figured it out...I went to the one website, and it was talking about letters on the terminals..so I checked it, and it said F on the black wire, and L on the tan wire...so I put two and two together...black is Field wire, and tan is Light wire...thanks for the web address!!
