I've not been able to get the wiring harness plug unplugged from the voltage regulator! Does anyone know how to do this? Is there a release I'm not finding? It is a '68 with a 4 terminal connector. Would appreciate any help! -Al

yes, on top looking down at it you will see the terminals marked in a long plastic strip that is attached to the regulator just above the plug-in. also you will see 2 open areas in this strip with tabs, these lock it in. you have to raise this plastic strip to unlock these tabs, some times you can do one at a time and wiggle it out. hope this helps. There's a plastic tang on the connector that holds it into the regulator. It's along the side edge. Keeps the connector from falling out. Try disconecting the battery, unscrewing the regulator, and lifting it out a little. You can then see the tang. Slide something in there like a table knife to hold back the area in the regulator it goes into. Hope some of that made sense.
