I bought a 1967 Chevelle "SS" wiring harness off ebay several months ago and wonder how to tell if it is a true SS harness.

Thanks

There isn't an SS specific harness. There was a special harness used for the optional gauge cluster. There were diferant harnesses for A/C and heat only and a special harness for a car equiped with a console. The harness for the optional gauge dash can be used on either A/C or heat only and also has the connedtion for the colsole lighting, one harness for all applications. This (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/gatkhrns67temp.jpg) shows two items that are found only on the gauge cluster harness. The flat two wire, black and black/white, are for the amp gauge. The light, light blue wire, is the left turn signal light. If the "blinker tach" is used the light is removed, the connector that remains connects to the tach harness.
