: 1965 blower motor ?

If you put 12 volts directly to the blower motor and it works, and won't work otherwise, what should I look for to troubleshoot this problem?

You get an A/C car or planning to suffer in the Texas heat? The wiring is different. Post back.

#1 the fuse
#2 the hi blower relay if there is one
#3 the resistor block in the heater plenum either bad or disconnected.

Those are the first three things I would look at.

Thanks so far guys. It's a factory A/C car John. I just ordered a fact wiring diagram today. It's time to learn for me!

Check your email box Jimmy. On the AC drawing see if the in-line fuse is OK. This is needed to run the blower on high speed.

I would test for power at the wire that goes to the blower. Critters like to sharpen their teeth on them sometimes.

You started in the right place by testing the motor the way you did, now all you have to do is backtrack from there.
