The turn signal indicators light up when I turn on the headlights. When the turn signal is activiated, the indicators go bright / dim in an alternating fashion. Any suggestions. 1971 Chevelle.

Check the grounds in your parking lights. Sounds like you have a poor ground and the circuit is completing through the bright filament.

Both filaments use the same ground, so if the ground is non-existent, the current will flow back through the other filament into the turn signal circuit.

Are all the outside lights working ok? Brake, running, and turn signal lights? Do the four way flashers work ok? No other problems seen I would try changing the turn signal flasher can. It's under the dash between the column and radio. Buy a $3.00 cheap one from the auto parts store.

Sorry Chad. I didn't see your post when I typed. Trying to do two things at one time.
