just got done restoring dash and cannot see where this plugs into. Its a 68 malibu w/ac.

This (http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/azss/68atl.JPG) is where the cluster end connects. The ash tray end installs in the rectangular hole on top of the support/mounting.
