I'm beginning to set up a tach dash I purchased for my '69. I'm trying to determine the the proper sending unit for the oil pressure.

I'm looking a piece that is in an AC Delco box, and supposedly for a '69. It has '80', and then some other numbers stamped on the side ... so I think I'm looking the right direction.

Can anybody tell me what the AC Delco part number should be?

And, Are '69s special sending units ... I see that Ground Up sells a "69 Oil Pressure Sending Unit", which usually means 70+ are different?

Thanks, Neal

69 is special because pre 69 all use mechanical oil pressure gauges, 70 - 72 have an oil pressure indication light - no gauge. The GM part # is 6461928 two other numbers that I understand will work 6462137 or 370801 I can't guarintee the last two #s but I can guarintee the first # will be very hard to find.

If you are just looking for the current issue GM (and) Delco part it is 15591103. It is 80 PSI, has a small 80 stamped at the base.
Looks like this
