Two things here. There is a male spade on the fuse panel labeled, "LPS". What is that used/available for?
Secondly, I'm considering installing the Kenwood radio instead of a Custom Auto Sound. I've got the front kick panel speakers and will put inexpensive 6X9's in the back. I am NOT trying to impress anybody with earth-shattering volume or quality. Is this a good sounding unit? Is the 15 watts/channel enough to get it over the 454 engine noise?

I always thought LPS was for "lamps", as in dashboard lighting.
