71 El Camino, A/C compressor has power going to it at all times, when you hook battery up you can hear the relay under the dash make contact. I removed it, took cover off, looks good but stays made at all times. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Rick

Theck the A/C controls. There's a switch on the slider that tells the A/C to turn on/off, maybe that's messed up.

Could be those pesky anti dieseling relays acting up. (Under the dash behind the glove box?) The time delay relay can cause what you are describing. If so they can be removed and a jumper installed to bypass them.
