What is the small approximately .060 x .250 post on the back of the alternator by the battery output connection?
Thanks

Could that be another ground for the casing. I have the same alternater and seem to remember the extra casing ground. With hi amperage you can never have enough grounding!!!

I don't know, I wasn't aware of a casing ground.

I bought a 105 amp, had the same terminal on it. Mine is a ground, and (of course) I grounded it...

How do you ground it? They terminal doesn't have any threads. Can I buy the correct terminal or do I need to go to the junkyard. Thanks again.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you have good grounds through the 2 mounting bolts without a lot of paint under them.

That's what I was going to do. Just wanted confirmation. Thanks again
