I converted my 69 to a SI alternator and now the alt light stays on dim when the engine is running. The alternator is working ok, my amp meter shows it is charging. Any ideas?

Diode Trio defective. Common problem. Cheap and easy to fix, parts available at any parts store. NOT the main alternator diodes! This is the thingie that powers the internal regulator.) it may eventually fry the regulator by passing AC voltage. I'd toss in both to be sure.
