Has anybody ever redone their own engine wiring harness. I was thinking of trying this. I have a 69 malibu w/350,no A/C. I have the old wiring harness, I was just thinking of updating the wiring with heavier guage. It really doesnt seem like it would be too much trouble. Better than $139.00. Any feedback would be appreciated. I have access to a lot of wires and terminals.

I have never done it, but once you get into the harness and have it apart to replace wiring and are looking for factory connectors. $139.00 will look like a super deal. www.wiringharness.com (http://www.wiringharness.com) for M&H fabricators, they will do some custom work.

progress has little to do with speed, but lots to do with direction.

I will give it a try, and post my results when I am finished. I will also post pics. I know this cant be that hard. If I can handle a new headliner (installed) I can handle a simple wiring harness. I just have access to a lot of wiring type items.
