Converting a 71 Malibu to gauge dash. Can anyone tell me the color of the wire that attaches to the temp sensor on the L/H cylinder head? (gee hope that's the correct side). Also what type connector should it be-round post or T-type/nailhead?
Previous owner "hid" most stock wiring when he plumbed the mechanical gauges. Also-stock oil pressure wire color? Thanks in advance!

On my 69, the temp wire was green, the oil wire blue.

Also check out this link if you haven't already...I converted my 69 to tach&gauges, and NoNeck's instructions were perfect.

Should be green. If you have warning lights, you'll want the blade connector type. If you have guages, you need the nail post.
