My radio and heater fan are staying on when the key is turn off. It just started doing this yesterday. I haven't done anything to the car, except drive it. I suspect the ignition switch but, since they are a PITA to pull, I figured I ask if there are any other suggestions. TIA.

Not many Pat. The power to the radio fuse should be gone in the OFF position. Yanking the fuse should kill the radio. The only wild guess that doesn't make much sense is the alternator is acting up. May try yanking it's connector and see if the radio shuts down.

Thanks John, I'll try that. These big paws of mine are real hard to get to the switch. I pulled it some 10 years ago and the memory still haunts me smile.gif .

Update, It wasn't the ignition switch. Seems there was a short behind the fuse block. I ended up taking the car to an auto electric shop. I'm sure I would have never found the problem or repaired it correctly.
