I was wondering what the best source for wiring diagrams/schematics would be for a 66 Elky. I need to do a rewire on the car (harness ripped out by previous owner) and need some wiring info. I got the fuse box from a late model GM and plan to use that in place of the original. I would appreciate any help

Thanks

I have used the assembly manual as a source. The other way is to get the shop manuals on CD. I not sure whether the manuals at Autozone contain wiring diagrams.

If you're gonna use a late model, you need to know that the column plugs are completely different. There is a lot of wiring in that plug. If you're using a late model steering column, then there's no problem. Just use the wiring diagram for the car you get the harness and column from.

You may do well to go with M&H if you're looking for a "plug & play" harness to use with the original column. Otherwise, study up on automotive wiring and do your own custom setup. It's just as easy as using a late model harness.
