just kidding but now that you're reading this post, anyone ever had an electronic factory tach fixed? I have one but it doesnt work... something is wrong with the circuitboard or the little copper windings that move the needle.. I dont know and dont really care what it is, I just want to get it fixed.. the dealer wants hundreds (as in, $300-400) for a new one.. there must be an alternative.

Names/Numbers of shops/parts suppliers anyone? THANKS!

Had a knee knocker years ago that quit. Took it to a local TV shop. The guy checked out some diodes and replaced them, it worked fine. He said these are the common problem in this type of stuff as the current hits them first. Might try something like this before spending big money.
