I wired up a tach and went to mount it - poof, idiot. The automatic turns the entire column and I cannot mount the tach there..any suggestions without trashing the classic interior?
Pictures of your tach locations?

I designed my own mounting to accept a Sun Tach Super mini. Fits the clock area in my '70's malibu sweep dash.

That is really awesome! I've actually been looking for a small enough tach to fit my console where the clock was.
What model number is that? Theres like a half dozen mini tachs.

Was it easy to mount in the old clock spot?
Thanks!
What size is your tach? I have a 5" Monster tach and I have it mounted on my A pillar up top. I just routed the wires behind it and looks pretty decent.

Do you have a picture of the 5" tach mounted? What did you use to secure it?
Sorry no pics :( I used the same mount that the tach had...the round "brace" that goes around the tach and has a little base that is slightly arched. I then used a longer screw and screwed it up to the pillar. Hope this helps smile.gif

Shiftworks now makes in-dash tachs. I'm tempted to get one.

I'm interested in what the price is going to be.
