I will be reinstalling the dash on my Chevelle this weekend and really need help on checking two dash items:

1) How can I check the speedo for working?
2) How can I check each tiny dash instrument
bulbs for replacements?

I bought the car to restore 6 years ago and don't know if these items will work or not.

1.You can test the speedometer with a drill and possibly a cut off allen wrench or something that will mate up to the female receiver end of the gauge.
2. The Bulbs should all be 12 volt. I have an old 12 volt cordless drill battery that I use; a 9 volt battery will also work just a little dimmer obviously. The bulbs are inexpensive you might think about using new ones if you have it apart already.
