: Swapping Pro Injection for carb, recommendations?

My 70 SS396 has the original balanced and blue printed 402. No expense has been spared on this car. Since the rebuild it has been fueled by a Holley ProInjection 4. 900 cfm. I am thinking pretty seriously about a swap. Any recommendations on who makes a good prepped carb? Every time we have problems with the car, we think it is something with the fuel injection. I am not willing ($$) to get the newer TPI setup.

Thanks.

Pat, I don't see why a Holley 750cfm double pumper wouldn't fit your bill. It is infinitely tuneable and is super easy to work with once you understand the basics. If you are going with the best, I might recommend their HP series carbs. I just switched from a standard 4150 Holley double pumper to their HP series in the same 750cfm size and there has been a DEFINITE difference. Try a search under my name and you will find a recent post about this particular carb. You will also find information about where to find this carb at a better price than what I paid thru Jeg's. Hope this helps and best of luck with your choice.

I'm weak for the Barry Grant series,if I had the money. You just fill in a list at the auto-dealer on your idle-vaccum cam valves and all they need for calculate cfm and jets.My Vette-friend didn't even need to set the idle-screws when his arrived.
