I just recvd my new rear package tray from Ground Up. Excellent quality reproduction.

Anyway, I need to cut the speaker holes out in the new package tray. Should I cut them the outline of the metal openings in from the body or should I cut them rectangular and follow the perforated opening in the original jute padding.

Rich, check your email. I used a package shelf with hidden mesh, with excellent results (YO deluxe). But, if you want to cut holes put the speaker grill above it and keep in mind that you can see thru the grill so be neat. If its a square grill cut a square hole, etc.
