Hate to ask but would someone mind taking a tape measure to the dipstick on their big block. I think mine is from a small block. It reads way too low for having 5 qts. in a 5 qt pan. Seems like a simple way to find out if it's the wrong one before ordering a new one. Thanks.

seen ya had no replys, so i booked out to the garage to check it out. my 427 is 21 and a quarter from inside the tube seat to the end.buuuuttt, it is a chrome after market.anyway it seams correct.well hope this helps.old chevys never die,they just crush fords.good luck,man
