: Long style water pump on a 454 in a '71? Gandalf80 Jun 30th, 99, 1:00 PM Will a long water pump fit in a '71 Malibu on a 454? I have a 4 core rad. Reason i'm asking is I know where I can get brackets and pulleys for the long style real cheap and I know where I can get brackets and pulleys for the short style REAL expensive. Thanks. Chev also moved the alternator from driver side to passenger side for the LWP setup. It also would be easier for your accessories to fit if you go with the LWP setup.
