I have a 72 chevelle and i recently disassembled the steering column and replaced all the switches but now im tryin to reassemble it and i cant get the 4 screws that hold the shifter barrel to the column to get started i shove down on the column and the screws only make it right to the threads but not far enough to start any help would be appreciated.
