Last June when I was at the Northeast regionals I met with Ken from Ground Up and he told me that I have 67 wide base headrest seats in my 69 Chevelle. What does this mean? I'm unfamiliar with 66-67 cars and would appreciate input from the forum. Thanks ALbert

I believe the '67 head rest will have a single blade & the '69's have a dual rod slide.

alss,
I'm no seat expert but I believe I have 69 seats in my 67. They have two posts per headrest and the seat release in the middle of the back. I am almost positive 67s also had two posts per headrest. In 67 the headrests were an option and were somewhat rare. Some of these idiots on eBay are spending $350 for a pair of 67 headrests complete with mounting hardware. In my experience they usually were found on the Caprice models. Too bad we aren't closer or I would be willing to trade with you.
