Anyone know what paint was used on the rear panel of a 1969 black SS Chevelle?
Was it painted semi gloss or was it the same color as the rest of the car? thanks

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be satin black.

This topic has been covered before, and the general consensus seems to be that the panel was painted satin black, not flat.

I've got an unrestored original with a black body and the rear panel is a satin black. It is about the same gloss level as the paint on the lower part of the dash (below the dash pad; - above the dash pad is a more flat finish than below). Hope this helps.
